Punganur cows are mainly found in South India. Although these cows are from Punganur cows district of Andhra Pradesh, people there worship them too. These cows are also worshipped in India. The length of these cows is more than 3 feet and the height is up to 2.5 feet. They eat 2 to 3 kg of fodder daily. It is believed that 56 thousand gods and goddesses reside inside these cows, due to which these cows are worshipped as gods.
These cows are so small that they can be easily reared and they are also very intelligent. They sleep with humans and can eat 2kg of fodder daily. They love to play and jump with humans.

Generally, they are given the same food as cows but to take care of their health, they are given different types of food so that they do not suffer from any disease.

These cows give less milk but the milk of Punganur cows has lot of strength like the mind of children remains under control due to which the child does not get any kind of disease, these cows are friendly with all cows, they like pure food otherwise they can become sick, like other types of cows, even if you give anything to them, they eat everything, like desi cow, jersey, sahibal, gir cow, give anything to these types of cows, they eat everything.
These cows like green fodder very much and eat it with great zeal. This fodder gives agility to their body so that they can keep playing and jumping all day long.
